Weekly Expenses include:
- Gate Entry Fees
- Practice Fees
- Race Fees (each class)
- Fuel
- Miscellaneous Gear
On average, a Motocross rider spends approximately $200 per weekend during the racing season, which runs from March to October annually. This cost includes race fees for each class entered, gate fee, and fuel for the bike. However, it does not cover additional expenses such as parts, maintenance, entry fees for adults, food for the weekend, camping costs, and travel fuel. The weekly costs for parts and maintenance can vary greatly, ranging from as low as $50 to as high as $1000 for items like new tires, tubes, top-end repairs, suspension works, oil and filter changes, new brake pads, and clutch replacements.
